- Recruits: We have received 8 commitments to this point. We are still waiting on a final decision from a few more...NCAA rules prohibit me from announcing their names until they register for class, they should be signing up for classes soon.
- Grades: Most of the guys did fairly well this past semester, but there is room for improvement. I expect everyone to improve on their grades in the fall, everyone.
- Cage Update: The lights are going up and the outside has been painted. Once the lights are done the turf will go down then the nets will be put up. I'm thinking once they are finished we'll have some sort of UN-official ceremony. I'll keep you updated.
Hopefully your Memorial Day plans involve some baseball, I talked with JJ this past week...He's playing 6 games in a Memorial Weekend American Legion Tournament....those were the days.
Go Petrels!!

Coach, how are the cages shaping up?
2008 SCAC Coach of the Year:
Can you give us a pic of the new cages? On another note, my friend from Pineview, GA(Josh Thompson) was drafted by the Marlins in the 32nd round. He is the first person from Pineview to ever be drafted in the MLB DRAFT. On another note, he was the catcher in my masterful close and hold against Terrell in 1998. That would teach OU pitchers a thing about getting out of a jam. FIRST & SECOND RULE: Hit the first batter. Don't take a girl to the club when you first met her, cause I'm a flirt.
